Built From Real Project Experience
Intentional Design Build is built on practical experience across design, construction, development, and owner’s representation. That background helps us look at projects from multiple angles: what looks good, what can be built, what fits the budget, and what will hold up in the real world.
Our role is to help clients move from idea to execution with more clarity, better decisions, and fewer costly disconnects between design, budget, permitting, and construction.
Why Clients Choose IDB
Most projects slow down when design, cost, permitting, and construction are treated as separate conversations. We bring those pieces together early so clients can make better decisions before time and money are committed.
The focus is practical execution: identifying risks early, aligning scope with budget, and helping each project move forward with a clearer path from concept through completion.

About the Company
Intentional Design Build is led by Dakota Gullickson, whose background spans commercial & residential design, construction coordination, development planning, and owner’s representation. His work is shaped by a practical belief: good projects are not just designed well, they are planned well, budgeted honestly, and executed with clarity.
Outside of the work, Dakota is a husband and father who is building this company around stewardship, family, and creating places that serve real life. That perspective keeps the business grounded in work that is useful, personal, and worth doing well.
